Unklele Thinkline LP Electro-Acoustic Tenor Ukulele Corner
My Unkulele Thinline LP Tenor
In being on the look out for nice Ukuleles I see the work of a number of full and part time luthiers. The instruments they make look very nice and worthy of note.

David Tachera - Oiwi

Based in Foster City, San Francisco, California, he is a graduate of Mike Chock's Hana Lima 'Ia School of Luthiery in Hawaii and has been making Ukuleles since the early 2000's. He puts a fern cross as a logo on the headstock of his Ukuleles

Jeff ? - Unkulele

Coming from Arizona, he has a long explanation of where the name Unkulele came for on the web site but doesn't say what his name is? The Ukuleles are all Electro-Acoustic, apart from one solid electric modle, with his own special homemade pickups installed, and loosely based on electric guitar body shapes. He will make any scale from Soprano to Baritone and he describes his output as "Artisan". In addition to the main range he also does a special Eco Uke range made from recycled wood. In 2013 his son got involved in the business too, but I believe Jeff still does all of the building.
