Les Stansell Tenor Ukulele
Stansell Tenor
In being on the look out for nice Ukuleles I see the work of a number of full and part time luthiers. The instruments they make look very nice and worthy of note.

Craig Sullivan - Stetson Guitars

He is based in Norwood, New England and his middle name is Stetson so he calls his range of instruments Stetson Guitars. He is a long time Guitar maker who started making Ukuleles in 2006. He makes Guitars, Soprano, Concert and Tenor Ukuleles plus Banjos too
He and his instruments have nothing to do with the pre 1970 Stetson Ukuleles beyond sharing the same name

John Cook - Lightnin' Bug Reso-phonic

He is based in Arkansas and is a mechanic and metal worker by trade. In addition to making resonator instruments, including Guitars, Ukuleles and even Violins(?), he customises the mass produced ones as another service, he offers is to "duco" crystal lacquer any instrument.

Les Stansell (Guitars)

He learned luthiery at the Northwest School of Instrument Design in, Seattle finishing here in 1981 and now works out of Pistol River, Oregon. He makes Guitars and Ukuleles in the Flamenco style and is very fond of using myrtle or cedar. He appears to make predominantly Tenors.
