There a few small firms that still manufacture some very nice Ukuleles and other instrument in Europe. Then there are a number of European importers and retailers who have a range of Ukuleles they import, usually from China, and then brand with their own name. These are usually better than the budget end, (though may include a budget end model) and some can be quite good quality

Andy Perkins Banjo Works

Based in Faversham Kent UK, this is the biggest specialist reseller of Banjos in the UK. Their own brand of Banjo and Banjolele is called Grafton. The parts for Graftons are manufactured in the Far East, the design for the Banjoleles is based on the Gibson UB2 and the Dallas "A" but all of the assembling is done in the UK. There are Soprano and Tenor scale Banjoleles in the range and they can come with friction or planetary tuners.


An Italian distributor of all kinds of musical instrument from accordions to violins and electric sound equipment too. They were founded in 2005 and have a small range of Ukuleles in the catalogue covering the standard scales from Soprano to Baritone in koa and Soprano or Concert in mahogany all claiming to be solid wood
