Koa Kolane Soprano

Yiwu Skyline Musical instrument Co.,Ltd was established in 2000, in Yiwu city, Zhejiang province, China and makes Guitars, Ukuleles ,Violins and other instruments. They own and operate their own manufacturing plant, chain of retail outlets and an import / export distribution business. They own brand name Caterina, TIKI, Jonathan and Magna, and I have also seen them use KK, MuSic and Waikiki for branding Ukuleles on their website; they also do OEM work for other to brand.

The Ukuleles come in Soprano through to Baritone scale in a number of laminate woods, solid top spruce, and some solid mahogany and koa models. They make Pineapples, Guitaleles and Uke-Basses too, but I have not seen Minis, extra string, (apart from the Guitalele), variants, Resonator, (surprising as the do the Jonathan range of Resonator Guitars?), or solid electric Ukuleles. I have heard, but have no firm evidence, that they don't actually make Ukuleles at their factory, just Guitars, and they buy in the other chordophones, (aerophones and membranophones), from other makers?

I have seen their KK range of solid wood Ukuleles being sold in Hawaii under the advertising brand name Koa Kolane with the fallacious claim that they are made in Hawaii. All of the labeling on the actual Ukulele is the same as the standard ones though, so I don't know if this has anything to do with Yiwu Skyline beyond supplying the Ukuleles, (but given the Gibson logo on the soundhole labels of their Hummingbird acoustic guitars I wouldn't be surprised)?
